18th Annual Fire Over the Water
JUL 4
ST. JOHNS
Celebrate Independence Day at Lyman Lake State Park with fireworks and duck races on Friday, July 4.

The Fourth of July at Lyman Lake State Park will feature rubber duck races and fireworks booming against canyon walls around Lyman Lake. Rangers expect the rubber duck races to begin at approximately 6 pm and the evening's fireworks should begin about 8:30 pm.

Summer days at Lyman Lake State Park are perfect for fishing, camping and hiking. There are 61 camping sites with shade ramadas, picnic tables and grills. 38 sites have electric hook-ups, 14 of which have sewer connections. There are also restrooms and hot showers.

For a new family adventure, reserve one of the yurts or log cabins. The yurts are 16-feet round and the cabins are 14 feet by 16 feet with a six-foot porch. The cabins are air-conditioned with room to sleep four people (bunk beds). Tents and RVs can be set up next to the cabins for large families.

For more information please call Lyman Lake State Park rangers at 928-337-4441. Make plans now to celebrate at Lyman Lake State Park, located 11 miles south of St. Johns Arizona on US 191.

Special Feature
If you'd like to learn something about the Sonoran Desert's natural history, the Desert Museum is a great place to start. In a few short hours you'll encounter more kinds of animals and plants than most people would see in a lifetime spent roaming the region on their own, and our naturalistic exhibits
help show how each species fits into its habitat. [
